The Saskatchewan Roughriders are heading to Ottawa to take on the Redblacks in a Friday night football clash.

For quarterback Trevor Harris, returning to the nation’s capital, where he spent three seasons, is a bit of a homecoming.

“Yeah, it still, to this day, kind of feels like my old team, so it's a little bit of nostalgia going into the building there. We won a couple of East finals there and had three home playoff games in three years. We had a lot of success and a lot of fun.”

However, Harris says there’s no place like home in Saskatchewan.

“I don't think I've ever had more fun playing football, and I'm comfortable in my own skin. I think this city fits me. Nothing's better when you have a passionate fan base and things are great. When things are bad, nothing's worse, but I love that. That's what it should be. We should be held accountable. We're representing this province and this city, and it's on us to make sure we go out there and represent well, and I love that of our fan base.”

The Riders and Reblacks kick off Friday at 5:30 p.m. across the 620 CKRM Cooperators Rider Broadcast Network.
