The countdown to the Labour Day rematch in Winnipeg is on.

On Saturday, the host Winnipeg Blue Bombers will look to redeem their 34-30 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Labour Day Classic.

The rematch hasn't been kind to the Riders. The Green and White have only won seven of the last 20 contests, and the Blue Bombers have won five in a row.

Legendary Roughriders receiver Chris Getzlaff calls the rematch one of the hardest games of the season.

“That is a hard game. You’re going to an atmosphere, and I imagine it’s only gotten worse now when it comes to how loud that building is, seeing the success they have had over the last six or seven years. Even when I was playing and the team wasn’t very good, it was still hard to play. That game was pretty much guaranteed to be a sellout just like Labour Day. The crowds are into it. It's really loud. It's hard to communicate. And that makes it difficult on any offence.”

The Riders and Bombers are back on the field Saturday afternoon at 2. Coverage begins here on the 620 CRKM at 11 a.m.
