Women's basketball: Cougars vs. Brandon Bobcats

The Cougars women's basketball team begin their pre-season schedule on Thursday with a game against the Brandon University Bobcats. Dayne Pearce led the Cougars with 15 points, Jade Belmore was right behind with 14 as the Cougars won 82-40.

Friday, September 13

Women's basketball: Cougars @ Winnipeg Wesmen

The Cougars women's basketball team played their second exhibition game in as many nights in this trip to Manitoba. This time it was closer but in the end another win for the Cougars. The final on Friday was 63-55 for the Cougars over the Winnipeg Wesmen. Jade Belmore led all scorers with 20 points in the victory.

Men's hockey: Huskies vs. Cougars 

The Huskies men's hockey team played a neutral site game at Big River First Nation against the University of Regina Cougars and they won 9-1. 

Women's hockey: Huskies vs. Cougars

The Huskie women faced the University of Regina Cougars in Yorkton with the Cougars winning 1-0. 

Saturday, September 14

Football: Rams vs. UBC Thunderbirds

The University of Regina Rams football team had a chance to go undefeated in their first 3 games of the season. In the end, it was close but the Rams fall to the visiting Thunderbirds 14-12.

In the quarterback battle, Noah Pelletier had a much quieter game than the week before versus the Huskies. He went 19-of-33 for 181 yards passing. His counterpart, Garrett Rooker completed 21-of-32 passes for 243 yards and one interception.

The Rams fell to 2-1 this season as the Thunderbirds improve to 1-2.

Regina's next game is Friday in Edmonton as the Rams face the University of Alberta Golden Bears at 7 p.m. You can listen live on 620 CKRM.

Women's soccer: Cougars vs. Manitoba Bisons

The Cougars women's soccer team was in action on Saturday as Regina hosted the University of Manitoba Bisons. The shots were even in this game 10 each, but it was the Bisons earning the victory 3-0.

Sunday, September 15

Women's soccer: Cougars vs. Winnipeg Wesmen

After dropping one to the Bisons the day before, the Cougars rebounded with a dominating 4-0 victory. Lennox Lockhurst led the way with two goals and an assist. The Cougars out shot the Wesmen 24-7 in the win.

Women's hockey: Cougars vs. Manitoba Bisons

The Cougars women's team faced the Bisons in Yorkton and lost 3-2.

Men's hockey: Cougars vs. Manitoba Bisons

The Cougars men's hockey team faced the Bisons in Wilcox in the last scheduled game for the Cougars during this week. Regina won 6-2.
