YORKTON TERRIERS 5, HUMBOLDT BRONCOS 2

The Yorkton Terriers erased an early deficit with five unanswered goals to defeat the Humboldt Broncos 5–2, completing a weekend home-and-home sweep.

Tyrone Sobry and Jacob Strizzi gave the Broncos a quick 2–0 lead in the opening period, but the Terriers stormed back with goals from Mikale Budz, Cash Lanigan, Tylan Henrikson, Evan Auld, and Kale Johnson.

Goaltender Callum Creig stopped 20 of 22 shots to earn the win, while Humboldt’s Charlie Tritt turned aside 39 of 43 in the loss.

The Terriers return to action Tuesday night when they host the Weyburn Red Wings at 7:00 p.m.


MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES 3, WEYBURN RED WINGS 4

Josh Sale and Drew Molde scored power-play goals just 69 seconds apart in the third period to lift the Weyburn Red Wings to a 4–3 win over the Melville Millionaires on Saturday.

Sale finished with two goals on the night, while Luke DeKay added the other marker for the Red Wings, who improved to 5–2.

Boston Harkness, Jackson Lee, and Sam Laplante replied for Melville. Noah Sinagowitz made 24 saves in the loss, while Nate Stevens earned the win for Weyburn with 22 stops.

The Millionaires will be back on home ice Wednesday night, hosting the Flin Flon Bombers at 7:00 p.m. from the CN Community Centre.

La Ronge Ice Wolves 4, Estevan Bruins 3 (OT)
William Knox capped off a three-point night by scoring the overtime winner as the Ice Wolves picked up their first victory of the season, 4–3 over Estevan.

Melfort Mustangs 2, Battlefords North Stars 0
Kason Kobelka stopped all 21 shots he faced for the shutout, while Reis Nyland and Lincoln Rogers provided the goals in a 2–0 Melfort win.

Flin Flon Bombers 4, Warman Wolverines 3 (SO)
Reid Arberry netted the shootout winner as the Bombers completed a weekend sweep of Warman with a 4–3 victory. Cam Sarna and Kane Kennedy each had three points in the loss for the Wolverines.
