MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES 8, WEYBURN RED WINGS 4
The Melville Millionaires exploded for five goals in the opening period and cruised to an 8–4 win over the Weyburn Red Wings on Friday night.
Melville showcased balanced scoring, as eight different players found the back of the net. Devin Winder, Brendan Olson, Ty Janz, Brodie Hicks, and Jackson Lee gave the Mils a commanding 5–0 lead after 20 minutes. Wesley Olson, Kale Margolis, and Grady Carmichael added goals in the final two periods.
Roan Burgess, Josh Sale, and Drew Molde replied for Weyburn.
Goaltender Kael Svenson made 24 saves on 28 shots to earn the win for Melville.
The teams wrap up their home-and-home series Saturday night in Melville, with puck drop set for 6:00 p.m. at the CN Community Centre.
YORKTON TERRIERS 5, HUMBOLDT BRONCOS 3
The Yorkton Terriers picked up their first win of the season, downing the Humboldt Broncos 5–3 on the road.
Kale John led the way with two goals, while goaltender Callum Creig turned aside 38 shots to secure the victory. Brett Buckley, Zach Hertz, and William Leonard also scored for Yorkton, who improved to 1-2-1.
Jacob Strizzi, Brayden Skogstad, and Kristian Lacelle scored for the Broncos. Netminder Nick Kotai made 36 saves in the loss.
The teams will meet again Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Westland Arena.

Melfort Mustangs 3, Battlefords North Stars 2 (SO)
Kaleb Binner scored the shootout winner, and Kason Kobelka made 30 saves as the Mustangs edged the North Stars 3–2. Kobe Sawyer had a goal and an assist for Battlefords.
Flin Flon Bombers 4, Warman Wolverines 2
The Bombers stayed perfect at 5–0 after defeating Warman 4–2. Local products Wyatt Stinton and Joey Lies each tallied a goal and an assist, while Matthew Bradley stopped 42 shots in the win.
Nipawin Hawks 3, Estevan Bruins 1
The Hawks jumped out to a 3–0 lead and never looked back in a 3–1 victory over Estevan. Mason Karakochuk, Tiernan Ryan, and Will Whitter scored for Nipawin.
