There is a lot of talk about offensive linemen here at training camp in Saskatoon. The same talk is true with the class of 2025 for the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ Plaza of Honour.
Offensive lineman Chris Best is among this year’s inductees. Best was a member of the 2007 and 2013 Grey Cup champions. His quarterback in 2007 was Kerry Joseph, who appreciated Best's work in keeping him upright and leading the running attack.
However, there may have been some controversy as running back Wes Cates claimed that Joseph may have taken away some of his potential touchdowns, which Joseph disputes.
“Well, it's not my fault they called quarterback sneak. I mean, you get to the one-yard line. Wes Cates, I'm going to say this right now. If you're listening, I'm going to say it live. My brother, you know, I have nothing but love for you. I am sorry. I want to say I had 13 touchdowns. Okay, I probably took four or five from you. So I'm sorry, Wes Cates.”
