Canadian Football League training camps continue across the country. In Saskatoon, the Saskatchewan Roughriders continue their player evaluations of athletes across North America.

All players have a different story about how they got to Riderville. Defensive lineman Aaron Patrick had NFL stops in Jacksonville and Denver. So, what did the 28-year-old know about the Canadian game before coming to Saskatchewan?

“Before arriving, I will say the most interesting thing was the wide receivers already in motion going pre-snap. The fact that they get a running start, I compare it to American football, and I think about some of the athletes over there, and I think about if a Tyreek Hill or somebody had a running start before, they ran their route, how dangerous it would be. So that was probably one of the things that I already knew coming over here. So, getting to see that in motion and how it can affect the defence and how it can help the offence has been very interesting.”
