Between The Lines: The best seat in the house

Well, you'll have to excuse Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris if he can't hide his grin when he thinks about the potential of the Riders' running game with two All-CFL-calibre running backs in A.J. Ouellette and Kadeem Carey.

Harris has the best seat in the house when it comes to their excellence. Like when A.J. Ouellette broke off a 47-yard touchdown run in Hamilton last week, the longest touchdown scamper of Ouellette's career.

“Yeah, I was telling him this morning that I was cheering for him, and then he said something mean to me, so I said I'm not cheering for you anymore. (LAUGHS) He split the guys, and I was like Oh, cut right, cut right, and he cut left, and it ended up being the right thing and that goes to show why I don't run in the open field.”

The Roughriders' running game will get its next chance to tear it up on Friday night in Toronto when they take on the Argonauts, a game you can hear starting at 2:30 on the 620 CKRM Cooperators Rider broadcast network.
