Fans around the Canadian Football League continue to discuss Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros’ injury in the Labour Day Classic rematch and whether or not he should return to play.

After the injury, TSN analyst Milt Stegall was adamant that “Zach Collaros should never play football again.”

Legendary Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant shared his thoughts on the SportsCage.

"Just unfortunate for Zach, he's had a ton of these injuries. And I'm speaking in football terms. Whenever you have more than two concussions, I say a ton. He's just been through this time and time again. It just hurt my heart to see him lying there on the turf. I think this has happened too many times for Zach. So, if I'm him or in his corner, I'd encourage him to think really hard about stepping out there on the field again."

SportsCage host Barney Shynkaruk then asked Durant if he thought Riders defensive tackle C.J. Reavis's hit that injured Collaros was a penalty.

"When any part of the defender's helmet makes contact with the quarterback's helmet, it's a penalty. I get that, but when you're running full speed and trying to make a play and aim at the chest area, there'll be a piece of the helmet that contacts the quarterback's helmet. So, I don't see this as an intentional targeting or something where he intentionally went helmet to helmet."
