Tuesday was a first for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Green and White practiced for the first time since their first loss of the season to Calgary on Saturday. It was also the first time this month that the team practiced in pads, which increased the session's intensity and compete level.

Quarterback Trevor Harris was asked about strapping on the pads.

"To be honest with you, no, not for me. I mean, shoot, I don't get hit during the day, but, you know, you get hit during games, but I wear pads day one, day two, every week. So, but it did change for some of the guys out there.”

Harris added, “It was a little bit more intense. It's good for us, you know, let's shoot. At the beginning of the year, I told you guys that you would win four games. Winning is important, but what's more important is who we're becoming in the process, because we will be a different team towards the end of the year. And we're going to, we're going to see Calgary again. And we're excited about that. We're excited to see them again. And, you know, someday we will, and we'll, we'll deal with that then, but we've got a big test this week at BC. It's going to be a lot of fun and a great environment. And we know that we will need to up our tempo or up our tempo in our game to win this one. They're on a great streak right now. They're playing well."

The Riders will play that game in BC on Saturday.
