Shawn Bane Junior sports a fresh look with his own clothing line.

In the words of Deion Sanders, “Look good, feel good.” That’s precisely what Saskatchewan Roughriders' receiver Shawn Bane Junior believes.

Bane has started his own clothing line called Bane’s World.

“The idea came in 2019 when I was playing for the Falcons and I made it come to fruition during the 2020 pandemic. I didn't have a name. I didn't have anything. I wrote a little logo, it was the SBJ logo in a triangle and put it on shirts. They were cheap shirts and materials, but I ordered 70 shirts at first and sold out. I said, okay, cool, we can build on that."

Bane admits he hasn’t always envisioned himself as a clothing designer.

“Truthfully, no. The question in 2019 was, 'What is your brand?' I was like, dang, 'What is it?' Truthfully, I didn't have a name for it. It was just SBJ. In 2021, I got the LLC to make it Bane's World Clothing Company LLC. That's pretty much what it was.”

“I do enjoy fashion. Growing up, I didn't have the means to get super saucy. Now, it's that I'm creating what I want to wear. Like, what the young Shawn wanted to wear."

Will the 30-year-old Bane become the next Calvin Klein?

“Potentially, I don't know. The goal is to be as big as I can make it. It's already being worn in multiple countries, which is more than I could have thought of. So yeah, that's cool.”
