Two of the hottest quarterbacks in the Canadian Football League will be on the field at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday when the Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Trevor Harris and Bo Levi Mitchell are playing some of the best football of their careers, and Riders offensive coordinator Mark Mueller has worked with both.

Mueller coached in Calgary when Mitchell was a Stampeder and isn't surprised by his success this season.

“I think he's still a winner. I mean, that's the biggest thing that hasn't changed. I mean, when he's out there, he has the most confidence in himself and the players believe in him. I think as a quarterback, that's your number one job. I think that Bo's evolved by just continuing to improve, whether it was 2012 or whether it's 2025. I think Bo works hard and there's a lot now. Bo just continues to stack days where there's looks that he's seen almost all of them now, right? So he can just react. And you know, just to see him back playing or continue to play at such a high level is good—except for two games a year.”

And Mueller has had a front row seat to his development through the Canadian Football League and he isn’t surprised by his success.

“No, I mean, he's a really good quarterback. He's a good leader, he's a good player, and, you know, I wish him and I cheer for him hard just other than when we play.”
