Last week, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame announced their 2025 induction class. Among the seven who were called to the hall is legendary Regina Rams player and coach Frank McChrystal. McChrystal won 12 Canadian Bowls as both a player and a coach and led the Rams through their first 15 seasons in youth sports at the University of Regina. McCrystal will be enshrined in a ceremony in Hamilton on September 19th, where he will also see his full-sized bust for the first time.
“I have a very good friend, a guy that I taught with and went to school with, whose name is Jim Gallagher. I called him up and told him this was happening because they want you to take a bunch of pictures, including a 360-degree picture of your head and face, so I got a professional to come and do it. Yeah it was it was pretty funny and then I've had guys like Mark Mueller and Rob Vanstone ask me so will your bust have a toque on it and will you have a mustache so yeah it was all pretty funny but it all went off in pictures and the pictures to the artist and the artist is going to do it so.”
