Well, you've heard the clichés: an eye for an eye, players policing themselves, or the game's unwritten rules. Well, the buzz around the stands by fans at Mosaic Stadium this week during Saskatchewan Roughriders practices has been about Toronto Argonauts defensive lineman Jordan Williams's alleged retaliatory hit on Rider quarterback Trevor Harris and whether a potential revenge tactic is something new in the CFL.

The SportsCage asked legendary Roughrider quarterback Darion Durant if he was ever a target.

“I mean, when have I not been? I mean, there have been, you know, teams who were just frustrated with us because, you know, we moved the ball. We didn't have the biggest, fastest receivers, and we seemed to be able to just move the ball up and down the field on everyone. So, frustration sets in. It’s just a part of the game. And like I said, most guys understand that it's done in between the whistles in a legal way, but this hit, it was just a little bit late, and because Trevor, you know, felt it and was out the next week, then, you know, we kind of put a bright light on it.”
