School may be out for summer, but for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, it's report card time. The Green and White will enter the second third of their season on Friday night when they host the Edmonton Elks. After a 5-1 start to the season, Riders head coach Corey Mace was asked what grade he'd give his team. After some consideration, he went with a B.
So what would he put in the comments section of that report card?
"I just, we're not what we quite want to be yet, and I don't think anybody would have anything to say to argue that. I think we just know the capability of where we want to go, and regardless of what game you pick, we're just not quite there yet. But we're okay with that because I think we love the challenge of finding the solutions to the equations, right? So we're not afraid of the work. These guys are working their tails off, whether in the meeting room, the weight room, or the field. So that would be an honest answer, yeah, just looking forward to keep working."
The Riders and Elks play tomorrow night. The game will be broadcast on the 620 CKRM Co-operators Rider Broadcast Network starting at 4 p.m.
