The Saskatchewan Roughriders' regular season ended on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium. They lost 27-21 to B.C., ending their season with a West Best 12-and-6 record.
The Green and White allowed several players to rest and recuperate throughout the game. That didn’t include Kian Schaffer-Baker, who made six receptions for 69 yards.
Schaffer-Baker missed 13 regular-season games this season with an injury, and he credits quarterback Trevor Harris for helping him integrate back into the offence quickly.
"Playing with the best quarterback in the world, simple as that. Anytime I go out there, he makes the game so much easier for me, and we're going to push each other to be better every single day, and that's how we hold each other to that standard. He's just the best quarterback to play with, man. He makes my job a lot easier."
So what makes Harris the best quarterback in the world?
"Everything from his preparation to how he carries himself as a man, how he's a leader, how he's a father. It's not even just on the football field that he's the best person alive. It's in all phases and stages of life. He carries himself tremendously."
Kian Schaffer-Baker, Trevor Harris, and the rest of the Saskatchewan Roughriders will host the Western Final on November 8th between B.C. or Calgary.
