Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Malik Carney’s effort in the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 34-30 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has earned him a spot on the Canadian Football League’s Honour Roll.

Pro Football Focus reviews game footage extensively to provide additional context for every action on the field. Highly-trained PFF staff break down every game, player, and play to provide over 200 unique data points, which are used to compile Player Grades—a numerical representation of performance up to 100 at their specific position.

Carney earned the defensive honours thanks to a 91.6 PFF grade. The 29-year-old recorded three defensive tackles, one tackle for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Riders' victory.

Positionally, Saskatchewan running back A.J. Ouellette made the grade with a PFF score of 72.0. Defensive back Tevaughn Campbell led defensive backs with an 84.5 grade, partly thanks to returning a two-point conversion attempt for 112 yards. Jayden Dalke scored the highest on special teams, despite leaving the game when he went to the hospital for a CT scan before returning to play.
