Langham’s Tayen Werner named Sask Sport athlete of the month

Tayen Werner has been named the Sask Sport Athlete of the month for August. At the Canada Summer Games, the Langham native claimed gold in both the women’s 400-metre and the 4-by-400-metre relay races.

Tayen Werner has been named the Sask Sport Athlete of the month for August.

At the Canada Summer Games, the Langham native claimed gold in both the women’s 400-metre and the 4-by-400-metre relay races. 

At the U20 Canadian National Championships, Werner ran a personal best to secure gold in the women’s 400-metre event.

Werner is majoring in nursing at the University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota.

An honourable mention was given to Leo Zheng in Para swimming.
