Quarterback Trevor Harris returned to practice behind closed doors as the Saskatchewan Roughriders held their weekly closed practice on Thursday at Mosaic Stadium.

Harris was held out of practice with an illness and head injury on Tuesday and Wednesday after he absorbed a late hit from Toronto Argonauts defensive lineman Jordan Williams in the Riders 39-32 win last week. On Thursday, Williams was fined by the Canadian Football League for the tackle.

According to Riders' head coach Corey Mace, Harris was a full participant in Thursday's practice but wouldn’t confirm whether he will start against the B.C. Lions in Week 3.

“Trev was out here, so it was good to see him back out here doing his thing. Same process though, we'll look at the tape and make the decision today," the 39-year-old said.

Mace wouldn’t commit to a timeline for naming his starting quarterback.

“It might be a game-time decision is how we list it, but we've got to watch the tape and see from there first.”

The 39-year-old Harris has won a career-high seven straight starts and is 46 passing yards away from reaching 34,000 in his career.

The Riders host the Leos on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium. The Croft Electric, Nelson Homes countdown to kick-off begins at 2 p.m. with Teagan Witko, Justin Dunk and Wes Cates. Kick-off is at 5 p.m. on the 620 CKRM Co-operators Rider Broadcast Network.
