Famed hip hop and rap artist Drake might be well known for his work with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and supporting Toronto sports teams, but it appears he might be branching out in his fandom.

Drake posted a photo on his @ChampagnePapi Instagram account wearing a Dilla Lives Detroit Red Wings shirt and rocking a vintage Nokia phone, but it was a logo on a chain on his hip that attracted extra attention.

The eagle-eyed Canadian Football League account picked up on the gem-encrusted Saskatchewan Roughriders logo and reposted the pic highlighting the jewellery, while adding the caption ‘Trevor Harris, can you do something for meeeee.’

That, of course, is a riff on the Drake and 21 Savage song Rich Flex, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart back in 2022.

There’s no word if Drake and Harris will be collaborating any time soon, but if a Winnipeg Blue Bombers dis track is in the works, SportsCage.com will be sure to keep everyone up to date.

The Roughriders and Blue Bombers open their respective CFL pre-season at 2 p.m. Saturday in Winnipeg, and you can catch all the action on Countdown to Kick-off, featuring Justin Dunk, Teagan Witko and Wes Cates on the 620 CKRM Co-operators Rider Broadcast Network at 11 a.m.
