The Yorkton Terriers are pleased to announce that graduating captain Jaron Desnoyers has committed to the University of Regina Cougars men's hockey program.
"Joining the University of Regina is an exciting step in my hockey career," said Desnoyers. "I'm looking forward to contributing to the Cougars' success and continuing to develop my game at the university level."
The 20-year-old forward led the Terriers with an impressive 30 goals and 45 assists, totaling 75 points over 48 games this past 2024/25 season.
His performance earned him the SJHL Forward of the Year award, a nomination for the league's Most Valuable Player. It was recognized nationally as a finalist for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top Forward Award.
During his time as a Terriers, he suited up in 112 career games compiling 50 goals and 134 points after being acquired in a deal with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons before the start of the 2023/24 season.
