The Weyburn Red Wings jumped up to top spot in this week’s SJHL Power Rankings after another stellar week.
Weyburn has won six of its last seven games, including six straight, and now sits No. 8 nationally in the CJHL rankings. Head coach Cody Mapes’ group has been dominant on both sides of the puck, outscoring opponents 11–3 in recent wins over Flin Flon and Nipawin.
The Kindersley Klippers climb to No. 2 after earning six of a possible eight points in a demanding four-games-in-five-days stretch. Kindersley remains the only SJHL team with just one regulation loss this season.
The Humboldt Broncos stayed put at No. 3 after a 6–1 win over La Ronge. Humboldt’s offence is rolling, scoring 12 goals and allowing just one in their past two games, led by red-hot forward Jacob Strizzi with 14 goals in 12 contests.
The Nipawin Hawks dropped to No. 4 following tough outings against Estevan and Weyburn but rebounded nicely on Tuesday night at home.
Estevan surges to No. 5 with five straight wins. The Bruins’ top line of Ewan Rennie, Rylan Williams, and rookie standout Cash Olson continues to drive their success.
Melfort remains steady at No. 6 after splitting a weekend set with Yorkton, while speaking of the Terriers they stay at No. 7 after three wins in their last four, highlighted by strong goaltending from Callum Creig and Alexandro Montoya.
The Flin Flon Bombers slide to No. 8 after six straight losses, while the Battlefords North Stars sit ninth following an up-and-down week.
Melville falls to No. 10 after three defeats but has a week off to regroup ahead of a three-game road trip.
La Ronge and Warman round out the rankings at 11 and 12 respectively.
