Brayden Vandenbilche scored the shootout winner as the Kindersley Klippers edged the Melville Millionaires 3–2 — their third straight game decided in a shootout.
Kale Margolis opened the scoring for Melville just 52 seconds in, while Alex Morrison forced extra time with a late third-period equalizer.
Kaegan Lowe and Russ Demo replied for the Klippers, who earned their fifth win of the season.
Brett O’Halloran made 30 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout. Melville’s Noah Sinagowitz turned aside 25 shots.
The teams meet again Saturday in Melville.
Melfort 5, Yorkton 4
Bryson Aikens’ hat trick and a three-point night from Will Munro powered the Melfort Mustangs past the Yorkton Terriers 5–4 at Northern Lights Palace.
Jye Zawatsky scored twice for Yorkton, with Vinay Junek and Evan Auld adding singles, while Riley Cormier had three assists.
Madden Mullawka earned the win with 25 saves; Alexandro Montoya stopped 30 for the Terriers.
The teams complete the home-and-home Saturday in Yorkton.
Weyburn 5, Flin Flon 1
The Weyburn Red Wings claimed their league-best ninth win with a 5–1 victory over Flin Flon.
Josh Karman scored twice, with Callas Pierce, Simon Martin, and Jonah Bierd also finding the net.
Goalie Preston Patenaude stopped 34 shots, losing the shutout with nine seconds left as Ryan Ulmer scored Flin Flon’s lone goal.
Estevan 7, Nipawin 1
The Estevan Bruins handed the Nipawin Hawks just their second regulation loss of the season with a 7–1 rout.
Ewan Rennie and Chase Holt each scored twice, while Brady Carr made 28 saves.
Rorey Elson, Rylan Williams, and Cole Dupuis added singles; Will Whitter replied for Nipawin.
Battlefords 8, Warman 1
Kaeden Serpa made 38 saves and both Drew Williamson and Kaleb Dewar scored twice as the Battlefords North Stars cruised to an 8–1 win over Warman.
Humboldt 6, La Ronge 1
A five-goal second period powered the Humboldt Broncos to a 6–1 win over La Ronge.
Connor Miller tallied two goals and an assist, while Jacob Strizzi netted his league-leading 14th of the season.
