The La Ronge Ice Wolves have announced the signing of head coach and general manager Kevin "Killer" Kaminski to a three-year contract extension, ensuring his leadership through the 2027–28 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.

Kaminski, a native of Churchbridge, joined the Ice Wolves ahead of the 2019–20 season.

In his first year, he led the team to its first playoff appearance since 2016 and was named SJHL Coach of the Year.

“We’re thrilled to have Kevin continue leading this program,” said the Ice Wolves organization. “His passion, experience, and relentless work ethic have elevated our culture on and off the ice.”

The extension comes at a pivotal time for the franchise, as the Ice Wolves prepare to relocate to the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre (JRMCC) for the upcoming 2025–26 season.

“It feels great to be back with the Ice Wolves organization. Signing this new contract adds some security, and after six years here in La Ronge, it truly feels like home,” said Kaminski in the release.

With the extension, Kaminski and his staff are focused on building a competitive roster for the upcoming season.

The team recently hosted its annual Spring Camp in Aberdeen, attracting 150 players vying for spots.
