The Battlefords North Stars have officially announced the appointment of Connor Logan as the team’s new Head Coach and General Manager.

“Connor stood out as a candidate right from the get-go. His passion for the North Stars, having once been a player, was unmatched by any other applicant,” North Stars Kyle Kellgren said, “Having won a championship as a player he knows the hard work and dedication it takes to compete at that level and is ready to coach the North Stars to another championship.”

Logan played five years of Junior Hockey, including one season with the North Stars, during which time he helped them capture the 2017 SJHL title.

“I’m privileged to get the opportunity to come back to the Battlefords to coach this team,” Logan said in a team release,“ I carried a lot of pride being a North Star and I am excited to join the organization again.”

After his time with the North Stars, the 28-year-old from Victoria, BC spent some time playing with SUNY-Plattsburgh (NCAA Division III) then two seasons with the University of Windsor of U-Sports.

Logan then transitioned into coaching the last few seasons, spending time as an Assistant Coach of the BCHL’s Merritt Centennials along with most recently as Head Coach of the Victoria Cougars of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League last season.
