If you follow Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick on social media, you'll see he's been busy in the kitchen lately. Cooking pizzas, making sandwiches, but just how good of a cook is he?
We decided to survey the locker room. If Jermarcus Hardrick invited you to his house for supper and said he's cooking, would you go?
Head Coach Corey Mace: "Yeah, so there's a rule of thumb. If anything has to do with food and big people, you follow, because they know something good's about to happen. So yes, short answer is yes, I'm going."
Roland Milligan Jr.: "Of course. That's my guy."
Trevor Harris: "For sure. I want some down south barbeque. I know where he's from. Those guys can make some barbeque down there in the south, so I'd be asking if we could do some barbeque."
Logan Furland: "Absolutely, I'm going to his place. If he says he's cooking, I'll take all the free food I can get. I don't think I've ever had Yoshi cook for me, so I'd be curious. I'm sure he can put some food on the grill, though."
All sounds pretty positive. So, Jermarcus Hardrick, are you comfortable cooking?
Jermarcus Hardrick: "I'm comfortable eating, not comfortable cooking. My wife does a lot of cooking, but I can make a good sandwich for me, and for pizza, I like to put a lot of meat and cheese on it. If you're up that alley, we can be friends."
What about the kids, though? What do the kids want Dad to cook for them for supper?
Jermarcus Hardrick: "I'm more of the air fryer guy. Kids. We got nuggets. We got tacos. We got hamburger bites."
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will look to get cooking when they return to the field next Saturday when they host Hamilton.
