Week three in the Canadian Football League's regular season is in the books. The Saskatchewan Roughriders improved to 3-0 with a 39-32 win in Toronto on Friday. A game that saw Mario Alford score the game-winning points with a last-minute kickoff return touchdown. That wrapped up a tough pair of weeks for the Riders, who had to travel out east back-to-back.

Now, before the Green and White can enjoy their first bye week of the season, the Riders will host the B.C. Lions on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium. And Alford is excited to be back at home.

"Decent week as far as preparation. We don't have that short week where we don't have nothing but warm practice. We got a decent week of practice this week, so that'll help.”

Kickoff on Saturday is at 5 p.m.

In other CFL happenings, the Calgary Stampeders have signed linebacker Adam Bighill. The former Winnipeg Blue Bomber and CFL Defensive Player of the Year hasn't played since tearing his ACL in last year's Labour Day Classic.

Meanwhile, up the road in Edmonton, the winless Elks have made changes, signing former Carolina Panthers running back Spencer Brown. To make room for him on the roster, they had to release veteran linebacker Manny Rugamba.
