The 2024 Men's Lobstick at the Waskeisu Golf Course started earlier this week. The Open Portion of the event wrapped up on Tuesday, and Phil Jonas of Saskatoon won the championship again. Jonas was the defending champion and this year nipped Jerry Christiansen by one shot after rounds of 68 -68.

One notable shot from Tuesday was Lumsden's Casey Lawford's nine irons on the iconic second hole for a hole-in-one.

The Matchplay event started Tuesday morning with 256 competitors in 13 flights. The Lobstick is known around Canada as one of the largest matchplay tournaments in North America.

Shaun Dunphy of Saskatoon is the top seed as the low qualifier, winning in a playoff over Jock Kreigler and Shaun McNall.

The course's stunning beauty and top-notch design make it a beloved choice for players and fans. Its reputation as a must-see venue for premier golf events is well-deserved.
