As the 2025 season continues  one thing is clear: Saskatchewan football is thriving. From high school fields to junior programs and CFL rosters, Prairie talent is making a national impact.

Programs like the Senior Bowl and Football Canada Cup & other National tournaments  have propelled local players into the spotlight—Team Saskatchewan claimed a number medals at recent National tournaments in July and has a history of golds and top finishes. The Institute of Saskatchewan Football continues to grow, providing elite training and academic support to young athletes.

University programs are developing CFL-ready talent, and Saskatchewan’s grassroots game has fueled a pipeline of pros—13% of all Riders in history hail from within the province. From Grey Cup winners to Super Bowl champion Jon Ryan, Saskatchewan athletes make their mark at every level.

So, why do they stand out? Community Commitment – Strong coaching and support from the ground up, Elite Development – Access to structured, high-performance programs and Pride & Identity – Football in Saskatchewan isn’t just a sport—it’s a tradition

For fans, more homegrown stars are on the way. For players, the path to the pros is clearer than ever. And for the province, football remains a point of pride.

Saskatchewan football isn’t just growing—it’s becoming a national force. And the best is still ahead.
