When the world gathers in Italy for hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Saskatchewan won’t just be cheering from the sidelines—we’ll be on the ice.
Four officials from our province—Yorkton’s Tarrington Wyonzek, Cudworth’s Cianna Murray, Moose Jaw’s Michelle McKenna, and Alex Clarke of Drake—have been selected to officiate hockey at the Games.
It’s an incredible achievement. Officiating is a demanding, often thankless job, but these four have risen through years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication to reach the sport’s highest stage. Their selection proves Saskatchewan doesn’t just produce great players—we also develop world-class officials.
From small-town rinks to Olympic arenas, their journeys show young referees across the province what’s possible. They’ll represent Saskatchewan with pride, ensuring the game is played with fairness and integrity at the highest level.
When the puck drops in Italy, Wyonzek, Murray, McKenna, and Clarke will be proof that Saskatchewan hockey continues to shine—not just in the players’ bench, but in the stripes too.
