Weston Dressler has always stood out to me—not because he was the biggest or flashiest player, but because of how he played the game.
He gave everything on every snap. Despite being smaller than most defenders, he played with a fearless heart and relentless effort.
Dressler made tough catches, took big hits, and kept getting back up. You could always count on him in key moments—whether it was a clutch first down or a spark on special teams.
What I admired most was his consistency and work ethic. He wasn’t the loudest or most talked-about player, but he quietly delivered game after game. He had great chemistry with Darian Durant, and when Dressler was on the field, you always felt like something good could happen.
Beyond the stats, he truly connected with the fans. He embraced the Saskatchewan community, and the fans loved him for it. He represented what it means to be a Roughrider—tough, humble, and all heart.
Weston Dressler didn’t just wear green and white—he lived it. That’s why he’ll always be my favorite Rider.
