YORKTON - The Regina Pats and Prince Albert Raiders hooked up for Western Hockey League preseason action Thursday in what was a road game for both teams.
The teams faced off on Westland Insurance Arena ice in Yorkton, and while the Pats started with a decided edge in shots in the first period it would be the Raiders who scored the goals to lead 3-0 after 20-minutes.
Oli Chenier started things scoring his first goal of the preseason.
Brayden Dube made it a 2-0 Raider lead with 5:58 to go in the first.
Then it was Connor Howe scoring on a powerplay.
Maddox Schultz put the Pats on the board with a powerplay effort 11:05 into the second period.
Howe got that one back for the Raiders.
Regina scored again on the powerplay with 1:29 left in the second, with Liam Pue the shooter.
Dube then netted his second of the night to make it 5-2 after 40-minutes.
Evan Smith scored in the third for PA to wind-up a 6-2 win for the Raiders.
