ESTEVAN — The Dave Price Memorial Horse Race is underway at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.

The popular event, which attracts hundreds of spectators each year, is a nine-hole elimination showdown featuring the 12 golfers in the men's championship flight of the FrameTech Woodlawn Classic. This year the event is being played on the back nine.

The 12 golfers entered are Carson Harcourt, Nolan Rohatyn, Shawn McNall, Jason Klemenz, Daryl Donovan, Brycen Odgers, Landon Emberley, Ryan Stovin, Mark Spencer, Dallas Lequyer, Brett Blackstock and Dustin Stepp.

The two golfers with the highest scores on each of the 10th and 11th holes will be eliminated, bringing the field down to eight. Then one golfer will be knocked out on each subsequent hole until one player remains on 18.

The event is named in memory of Price, a long-time golfer in Estevan who loved the horse race each year. Members of the Price family made a presentation to the golfers before the start of the horse race.
