Estevan U13 Bulldogs go 2-1 in softball games

The Estevan U13A Bulldogs softball team played three times on May 25 in Lumsden. They defeated the Alameda Sun Devils 15-8 and the Regina Lazers 16-10 but lost 16-8 to the Lumsden Cubs.

ESTEVAN — The Estevan U13A Bulldogs softball team played three times on May 25 in Lumsden.

They defeated the Alameda Sun Devils 15-8 and the Regina Lazers 16-10 but lost 16-8 to the Lumsden Cubs.

In the game against Alameda, the Bulldogs' pitchers didn't give up any hits, and 14 of the 15 outs were by strikeouts. Madison Zukewich hit a home run in the game.

In the second game against Regina, Estevan's pitchers only gave up a couple hits and struck out nine. 

Coach Brad Zukewich said the game against the Cubs was a lot closer than the score showed. Estevan had eight hits compared to the Cubs' five. Both teams had 10 strikeouts each.

The Bulldogs have a 2-1 record in league play in the Regina circuit so far this season.
