The Saskatchewan Rattlers have re-signed their all-time franchise leader in points, Devontè Bandoo.
Bandoo, a Brampton, Ontario-native, returns for his fourth season with the Rattlers, and fifth in the CEBL. Bandoo is the Rattlers’ All-Time Franchise Leader with 584 points over three seasons.
During his professional career, Bandoo has played seven seasons with six teams in the NBA G League, CEBL, and the United Kingdom. He has a career average of 12.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 28.0 minutes in 66 games.
“We welcome Devonte back to Saskatchewan with the expectation that he can step right into our line-up and provide some valuable depth at the Canadian Guard position,” said General Manager and Vice-President of Basketball Operations, Barry Rawlyk. “Devonte is an experienced CEBL veteran, and he is an athlete who knows how to play the game the right way.”
Bandoo has played 14 games in the CEBL outside of playing with the Rattlers organization. Coming off an injury, he signed with the Montreal Alliance during the 2024 season, playing in five games and averaging 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 20.3 minutes per game. Entering the 2025 season, he signed with the Edmonton Stingers, playing in nine games where he averaged 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 20.7 minutes per game. On May 16th, he scored a season-high of 21 points, accompanied by five rebounds, two steals, and one assist in 27 minutes against the Winnipeg Sea Bears.
During the 2022 season, Bandoo played 21 games, averaging 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 34.9 minutes per game. He led the league during the regular season in total three-pointers made (64) while shooting 43% from behind the arc. After the 2022 season with the Rattlers, Bandoo played for Canada Basketball during the FIBA Ameri Cup. He signed a contract with Leicester Riders in the BBL for the 2022-23 season, finishing the season early with a leg injury.
Bandoo started his professional career in 2021 with the Saskatchewan Rattlers. He played 14 games, averaging 33.0 minutes per game. He led the offence with a team-high 17.4 points per game. In three other categories, he ranked second on the team with 2.9 assists per game, 5.6 rebounds per game, and 1.3 steals per game. He made 43 three-pointers and shot 42.4% from three-point range, which ranked third in the CEBL. During the CEBL offseason, Bandoo entered the NBA G League playing with the Lakeland Magic and Grand Rapids Gold for the rest of the 2021-22 season.
Before his professional career, Bandoo had a stellar collegiate career that culminated with him playing his final two years of eligibility at Baylor University. In his senior year with the Bears, Bandoo was named the Big 12 Conference Sixth Man of the Year, averaging 7.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 25.8 minutes in 30 games coming off the bench. During the 2019-20 season, Bandoo helped the Bears achieve a school-record 23-game winning streak, which earned Baylor a No. 1 ranking for five straight weeks. In his final year with the Bears, Bandoo shot a team-leading 38.5 percent from 3-point range and averaged 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds during a shortened season.
Over his two years with Baylor University, he averaged 8.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Before transferring to Baylor, Bandoo played two years for Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. The 6-foot-3 guard helped Hutchinson Community College claim the 2017 NJCAA Division 1 national championship, where he scored a season-high and team-leading 22 points in the championship game against Eastern Florida State College.
“I’m beyond excited to be back and rejoining the team—it feels great to hit the court again in Saskatoon,” said Bandoo. “I’ve missed the energy, fans and staff. I'm excited to get back to work.”
