Saskatchewan Roughriders’ defensive back Tevaughn Campbell has been fined for a high hit on Edmonton Elks’ quarterback Cody Fajardo.

In Week 8, the Riders beat-the Elks 21-18. Campbell delivered that shot in the fourth quarter as Fajardo was sliding. Saskatchewan was issued a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty. The Green and White were unsuccessful when head coach Corey Mace tried to challenge the infraction.

Fajardo finished the game completing 78 percent of his passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran four times in the game and accumulated 20 rushing yards.

The CFL did not disclose how much Campbell was fined.
