Week 2 of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season brought plenty of movement in the latest Sports Cage power rankings.
The Flin Flon Bombers surged to the No. 1 spot, leaping past last week’s leader with a pair of impressive wins. Close on their heels, the Humboldt Broncos climbed into second after back-to-back victories over the weekend and then a shutout win over Weyburn on Tuesday night
The Weyburn Red Wings and Nipawin each leapt up to third and fifth respectively.
Rankings also saw the Yorkton Terriers, Melville Millionaires and Kindersley Klippers, each drop slightly, while the Estevan Bruins, La Ronge Ice Wolves, and Warman Wolverines held steady at 10th through 12th.
As teams prepare for Week 3 action, eyes will be on Flin Flon to see if they can defend their newfound perch against a challenging slate of opponents.
