YORKTON TERRIERS 7, WARMAN WOLVERINES 2
After a tough loss the night before, the Yorkton Terriers responded in dominant fashion on Saturday night in Warman.
William Leonard led the charge with a four-goal performance, powering the Terriers to a 7–2 win over the Wolverines in their first-ever meeting. Cash Lanigan and Quinn Tavender each added a goal and an assist, while Mikale Budz also found the back of the net. Thomas Ries chipped in with three assists.
Riley Rich-Holden and Ethan Dundas scored for the Wolverines, who saw their two-game winning streak come to an end. Callum Creig made 23 saves on 25 shots for the win.
The Terriers are back in action Tuesday night when they visit the Nipawin Hawks. Catch all the action on GX94 with Benny Walchuk, beginning with the pregame show at 6:50 p.m.
MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES 3, LA RONGE ICE WOLVES 1
Rylan Oatman’s goal just over two minutes into the final period held up as the game-winner, as the Melville Millionaires snapped a four-game skid with a 3–1 victory over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
Preston Baerwald and Devon Winder also scored for the Millionaires, while William Knox had the lone marker for La Ronge. Noah Sinagowitz stopped 22 of 23 shots to earn the win.
The two teams will meet again Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS 8, ESTEVAN BRUINS 4
Adam Konowalchuk recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Battlefords North Stars to an 8–4 win and weekend sweep over the Estevan Bruins.
HUMBOLDT BRONCOS 4, FLIN FLON BOMBERS 3 (SO)
The Humboldt Broncos edged the Flin Flon Bombers 4–3 in a shootout. Jacob Strizzi’s eight-game goal streak ended in regulation, but he delivered the shootout winner to lift Humboldt to victory.
KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS 4, MELFORT MUSTANGS 3 (SO)
The Kindersley Klippers stormed back with two goals in the final four minutes — from Russ Demo and Ethan Sautner — before sealing a 4–3 shootout win over the Melfort Mustangs. Van Eger and Brock Evans both scored in the shootout to clinch it for Kindersley.
