MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES 7, YORKTON TERRIERS 2

The Melville Millionaires picked up their second straight win — and fourth of the season — with a 7–2 victory over the Yorkton Terriers on Friday night in the first Highway 10 showdown of the campaign.

Yorkton struck first on a power-play goal from Gabriel Courchesne midway through the opening frame, but Kale Margolis tied it late to make it 1–1 after one.

The Millionaires took control in the second period with goals from Grady Carmichael, Leo Jewitt, and Devin Winder, building a 4–1 lead while outshooting the Terriers 20–8.

Zach Hertz brought Yorkton back within two, but Jackson Lee quickly restored Melville’s three-goal cushion. Ty Janz and Rylan Oatman added late tallies to seal the win.

Noah Sinagowitz turned aside 41 of 43 shots for the Mils, while Callum Creig allowed seven goals on 40 shots for Yorkton.

The teams meet again Saturday night in Melville for Game 2 of the Parks Cup, with puck drop at 7:00 at the CN Community Centre.
