The Melville Millionaires picked up their third victory of the season Wednesday night, defeating the visiting Flin Flon Bombers 5–3 at the CN Community Centre.
Rylan Oatman led the way with a goal and an assist, including the game-winner midway through the third period. Preston Baerwald, Boston Harkness, Wesley Golden, and Riley Craigen also found the back of the net for Melville.
Ryder Mucha, Joey Lies, and Reid Arberry replied for the Bombers, who dropped their second straight game after opening the season with six consecutive wins.
Goaltender Noah Sinagowitz turned aside 32 shots to record his first career SJHL victory, while Flin Flon’s Devin Peck made 20 saves on 24 shots in the loss.
With the win, the Millionaires improve to 3-3-1-1 on the season. They’ll now gear up for a home-and-home series against the Yorkton Terriers — Friday night in Yorkton, before returning home Saturday for the first two Highway 10 battles of the year.
