The SJHL season is just underway, but several players are already setting the tone as the first players of the week have been rewarded,

In Humboldt, goaltender Charlie Tritt has been nearly unbeatable, stopping 135 shots and posting two shutouts in his first three games. His 4-0 record with a .970 save percentage and 0.98 GAA makes him an easy choice for Goalie of the Week. Up front, teammate Jacob Strizzi earned Forward of the Week after scoring six goals and adding an assist in five games, including a key setup on Saturday’s OT winner.

Battlefords’ Gavin Granger was named Defenceman of the Week, piling up seven points in three games while holding a +8 rating. In Flin Flon, Devin Peck backstopped the Bombers to a 4-0 start with a 1.71 GAA and .920 save percentage.

Kindersley rookie Kaegan Lowe is turning heads after a three-goal, five-point week to claim Rookie of the Week, while Estevan’s Rylan Williams earned Player of the Week with seven points.
