Lipton’s Connor Miller scores but Canada West drops opener to Sweden at 2024 Junior A World Challenge

Team Canada West opened up their 2024 Junior A World Challenge on a losing note on Monday night, falling 10-2 to Sweden in Camrose, Alberta.

Lipton product and Humboldt Broncos forward Connor Miller and Allen Sherpa scored for the Canadian squad.

Ivar Stenberg led the way for the Swedes with three goals and one assist.

Earlier in the day, Canada East fell 8-0 to the United States.

Canada West returns to action on Tuesday at 8:30 PM against Canada East, while Sweden takes on USA in the early game.
