Hockey Canada has announced the 44 players from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) who have earned spots on Canada East and Canada West in advance of the 2024 Junior A World Challenge.
Among the 22 players named to the Canada West includes four SJHLers in the Humboldt Bronco forward Connor Miller, Flin Flon Bombers duo of Koen Senft & Luke Lepper and Kindersley Klippers defenceman Jaxon Herchak.
Lumsden product and Drumheller Dragons forward Ellis Mieyette also earned a spot.
There will also be SJHL representation on the hockey operations as well as Flin Flon Bombers bench boss Mike Reagan will serve as Head Coach, Broncos Assistant Coach Carter Hansen will be the Video coach and Lampman product Nigel Dube is the team’s Director of Operations.
The event runs from December 9th to 15th in Camrose, Alberta and the defending champion Canada West takes on Sweden on opening night Dec. 9th.
