Receiver Ajou Ajou has been making the most of his reps and opportunities in training camp.

In their first pre-season game, the Saskatchewan Roughriders secured a solid 25-12 victory against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The annual “Green and White” game is Saturday at the Saskatoon Minor Football Field with gates opening at noon. The first pre-season game is Monday in Regina.

With rain anticipated in the afternoon, partly sunny skies greeted the Riders as they headed out onto the field for Thursday’s workout.

Nine players were released from the roster overnight, and there was noticeably more room on the turf.

Today was the first day of Saskatchewan Roughrider Training Camp with the team in full pads.

The breakout play of the day came during the first teams period of the session when the group was challenged with a two minute drill scenario.

While the northeast wind may have brought a scent of manure from the U of S barns across the street, the wind cleared out the smoke that had moved in Saturday. 

The Saskatchewan Roughriders jogged out onto the turf at Griffiths Stadium for the final workout of rookie camp with the music pumping and a look of determination on many faces.
