The Medicine Hat Tigers are poised for a strong showing at the 2025 Memorial Cup, marking their first appearance since 2007. 

Fresh off clinching the WHL Championship with a commanding five-game series victory over the Spokane Chiefs, the Tigers boast a blend of elite talent, depth, and experienced coaching that positions them as formidable contenders in Rimouski, Québec. 

Leading the charge is phenom Gavin McKenna, who amassed an impressive 129 points during the regular season and added 29 points in the playoffs. 

On the defensive end, the Tigers are anchored between the pipes by goaltender Harrison Meneghin has been a reliable last line of defense, delivering crucial and inspiring performances throughout the postseason that led him to the WHL Playoff MVP. 

Guided by head coach and Climax product Willie Desjardins the Tigers benefit from seasoned leadership and strategic acumen. Desjardins' experience has been instrumental in navigating the team through the rigors of the WHL playoffs and preparing them for the national stage.

The Tigers will indeed face stiff competition in the Memorial Cup, however, with their high-octane offense, solid defensive corps, and experienced coaching staff, Medicine Hat enters the tournament with a legitimate shot at capturing their third Memorial Cup title.

As the tournament unfolds, all eyes will be on the Tigers to see if they can translate their WHL dominance into national success and etch their names into junior hockey history again.
