The Saskatchewan Roughriders will return to the practice field from their bye week on Monday with a familiar face on the offensive line.

The Riders have re-signed American offensive lineman Nick Jones.

Jones, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound Mississippi State grad, was released by the Roughriders after training camp following a 2024 season in which he played for six games along the offensive line as a rookie.

Jones joins an offensive line that lost Canadians Sean McEwen and Phillipe Gagnon to long-term injuries during training camp. At the same time, American Payton Collins started the season at left tackle but was injured in week one.

Meanwhile, fellow American Trevor Tate, playing at left guard, left the Green and White’s week four victory over B.C. with his left arm in a sling.

Jones is expected to be on the turf when the team returns to practice at Mosaic Stadium on Monday.
