ESTEVAN — Overnight precipitation has forced some changes to the schedules for provincial ball tournaments happening in Estevan.
At the Baseball Saskatchewan U11 tournaments at Mel Murray Cactus Park, the semifinals for both the AAA Tier 2 and the AA Tier 2B tournaments were to be at 10 a.m., followed by the finals at 1 p.m.
Now, for the AAA division, the Saskatoon Blue Jays Battalion are to play the Saskatoon Cardinals Crew at 10 a.m., and the Saskatoon Armadillo A's will face the Estevan Brewers at noon.
The Brewers punched their ticket to the playoffs by winning both of their games on July 19 to finish the round robin at 2-1. They defeated the Saskatoon Cardinal Cannons 23-9 and the Sask Five Giants Gophers 19-13.
In the AA division, the Saskatoon Cardinal Trappers are to face the White Butte Broncos White at 10 a.m. and the Regina Buffalos will meet the White Butte Broncos Blue at noon.
The Estevan Brewers also had a team entered in U11 AA division. Estevan lost twice July 19 and finished at 0-3. Their games July 19 were an 11-7 loss to the Saskatoon Cardinal Knights and an 18-11 decision against the Regina Buffalos.
Finals for both baseball provincials are scheduled to start at 3 p.m.

The Softball Saskatchewan U15 B South provincial tournament is happening at the Jody Waloshin Softball Diamonds. The tournament was supposed to have its semifinals at 8:30 a.m., the bronze medal game at 11 a.m. and the gold-medal game at 1:30 p.m.
But now one semifinal was at 8:30 a.m., the other will be at 11 a.m., the bronze medal-game will be at 1 p.m. and the gold medal will be decided at 3:30 p.m.
The Estevan U15 Elite will face the Moose Jaw Ice in the 11 a.m. semifinal. Estevan went 4-0 in the round robin, outscoring opponents 49-4.
The Swift Current Sonic played the Yorkton Crush in the other semifinal.
Estevan defeated Yorkton 9-0 in their first game on July 19 and the Lumsden Cubs 18-0 in their second.
