YORKTON - The Highway #10 rivalry began for another season Friday evening at the Westland Insurance Arena in Yorkton.
The Melville Millionaires arrived to take on the local Terriers in SJHL action and the teams played the first 20-minutes to leave the ice in a 1-1 tie.
Terrier Gabrielle Courchesne opened the ledger scoring a powerplay effort at 8:41.
The Mills responded at 15:53 on a goal by Kale Margolis.
The middle frame would be one hometown fans will want to forget as Melville scored a trio of unanswered goals.
Grady Carmichal started things at 4:13, Leo Jewitt scored next at 9:11, and Devon Einder rounded out the trio with a powerplay goal at 12:35.
Early in the third period Zachary Hertz gave the Terriers faithful hope, scoring at the two-minute mark to make it 4-2.
But from there it was all Mills who punched in three more unanswered goals for a 7-2 win.
Jackson Lee scored at 5:35, Ty Janz at 15:21, and Rylan Oatman at 16:23.
Callum Creig was in the Yorkton net for the loss facing 40-shots.
Noah Sinagowitz was the Mills netminder facing 43-shots for the win.
