The Saskatchewan Rush picked up a 16-7 win over the Halifax Thunderbirds in game one of the best-of-three National Lacrosse League semi-final.
Austin Shanks scored six goals, and Zach Manns had a nine-point game to open up the best-of-three series.
Game two between the Rush and Thunderbirds is Saturday, May 10, at Co-op Field. The faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. inside SaskTel Centre.
Game three, if necessary, would be Sunday, May 11th at 6:00 p.m.
