It's time for the weekly EPCCA Update, brought to you by Advantage Collision in Saskatoon and Prince Albert, The Family Shop that Cares, and Mack Auction Company, Saskatchewan's land and farm equipment auctioneers.
Well, the EPCCA had a mixture of weather this past weekend in Prince Albert, including five inches of rain, which resulted in only running four days out of the scheduled five.
There were 43 chariots competing: fifth Brandy Braaten, fourth Kain Salmond, third Twyla Salmond, second Ryan Peterson, and first Colin Kilborn. Colin Kilborn was the Dash for Cash winner, and Jordan Vandale was the best-dressed.
There were also 33 chuckwagons in total, in fifth Casey Peterson, 4th Cooper Hue, third Carol Hooge, second Kain Salmond, and first Jody Drechsler. The Dash for Cash winner was Jody Dreschsler, and best dressed went to Burt Buhler. Glenmore Equipment Kubota Cash winners were Larry Schnell and Colin Kilborn in the carts, and Brian Prosper and Kain Salmond in the wagons.
This weekend, the club heads east to Archerwill, hosting their second show of the 2025 season for North America's largest chariot and chuckwagon association, where drivers will be eligible to compete for the Aaron Wickstrom Memorial True Grit Tribute, brought to you by RJ Sales in Wadena.
